Walter is from Fort Lauderdale Florida where he attended American heritage and for college he want to university of Miami. While in high school he won 1 state championship (in football) and 4 NATIONAL track championships in the 110 hurdles. Walter chose university of Miami to play football and also run track. Walter was considered an athlete on the football field and becoming one of the first players since Devin Hester to play both offense and defense because of his speed and explosiveness.
